The important factors which govern the output power of microstrip IMPATT oscillators are identified.Several novel microstrip IMPATT oscillator configurations are discussed from a theoretical standpoint and the experimental results obtained from each circuit are given.The above lead to a systematic approach to microstrip IMPATT oscillator design.
