- Abstract
Through the design of a satellite university campus, this thesis explores the potential of architecture to address the physical and cultural displacement felt by many international students and, more broadly, the loss of grounding that post-secondary students experience as they transition from academia and into society. The campus, which is part of the Education City initiative in Kanata, Ontario, also engages a larger set of questions pertaining to the so-called "third culture".
