Carleton University Library has an innovative staff development program to expand the skill set of e-book cataloguers to provide a comprehensive service to manage and expand access e-books. In 2009 Carleton University Library hired its first e-book cataloguer in response to the rapid growth of digital resources in the Library collection; a second position was added in 2011. These positions have successfully evolved to incorporate a wide variety of duties related to e-books in response to rapidly changing digital environment.
